Thessaloniki - Belgrade by train

This is the first of a series of posts from my recent trip to Serbia.

It all started from Thessaloniki's train station. This is our orange sleeping wagon.

Approaching Skopje.

Skopje train station.

The first morning light found us already on Serbian ground.

Everything was covered by light, frozen snow.

The train driver had to further reduce the travel speed because of the frozen rails. This gave us the opportunity for a closer look on the various towns and villages.

17 hours later, we were in Belgrade!

To be continued...

Wow Jorge, you really have a way of capturing Europe in the most beautiful way. I am right in the middle of summer down here, but am so envious of the snow... it looks beautiful...
